Wine ans health
Corazon has just been selected
by the organisation WINE AND HEALTH.
This independent organisation supported by Professor CABROL (the first surgeon in Europe to have completed a heart transplant) as well as the very numerous medical researchers, doctors and scientists, who advocate “drink better drink less”.
Which is the reference of the latest scientific research concerning the benefits of wine on health in the context of regular, controlled consummation, integrated with a varied and balanced diet in conjunction with the practice of a physical activity.
WINE AND HEALTH has tasted and carried out a chemical analysis of Corazon and here are the results.
Tasting : « deep sombre red colour with hints of garnet. Upon agitation the nose is most of all struck by the dark fruits, truffles, scratched flints, heated leather, freshly worked wood and spices. In the mouth it is beyond reproach, it has a beautiful body, the tannic structure is relaxed, the aromatic palette is well drawn with some blackberries, some prunes, some burnt coffee, grey pepper and some wooded vanilla at the end.
Chemical analysis :
PTI (Total Polyphenols Index) : 69
Concentration of Polyphenols : 4823 mg/l of total polyphenols
Calorific Energy : 126 Kcal / per glass of 15 cl
For many years, the beneficial role of Polyphenols as a preventative treatment for certain illnesses, has been proven and recognised publicly by different Medical researchers, doctors and scientists.
These Polyphenols allow red wine to :

Reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases :
- they increase the antioxidant capacity of the blood
- they play a role in relaxing the walls of the blood vessels thus preventing any obstruction.

Aid digestion :
- they act on the muscles of the stomach
- they fight against constipation
They act on the smooth fibres of the muscles of the intestine by increasing contractions and by lowering gastro-intestinal function, thus maintaining a regular functioning of the colon.

Fight against aging :
Researchers have shown that Resveratrol (the polyphenols found in the skin of red grapes) has a positive effect on longevity and on the control of the aging process in mammals almost at the top of the food chain. Research is being undertaken on its’ impact on humans.
Theses virtues can only be experienced through a moderate and responsible consummation of wine. Furthermore numerous studies are currently being carried out on the possible positive effects of a moderate consummation of wine on illnesses such as diabetes, obesity and Alzheimer's disease.
